Mr. Hilbert is a member of the Bar in Colorado, Wisconsin and Arizona. Mr. Hilbert has also tried cases across the country in many other jurisdictions including twenty states, and is admitted in many US District Courts, The Supreme Court of the United States, The United States Tax Court, and The United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Ninth and Tenth Circuits. Mr. Hilbert has arbitrated for FINRA, CBOE (Chicago Board Options Exchange), NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation) and the National Futures Association. He has significant first-chair trial and appellate experience.

He has acheived the highest ranking possible by a number of attorney rating entities including Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, and has been repeatedly listed as a Super Lawyer.

Mr. Hilbert was previously a partner at Robinson Waters & O'Dorisio, Reinhart Boerner Van Duren, and LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae (predecessor to Dewey LeBoeuf). He is the former Chair of the Colorado Judicial Insitute. He has also served as President or Board Member for a variety of organizations including the Catholic Lawyers Guild, the Notre Dame Club and several other private clubs.

He has a JD from University of Colorado (Boulder) and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.

He has been a guest lecturer at The University of Denver, The University of Colorado and The University of Notre Dame Law Schools. He has also spoken to both the legal and real estate communities on various issues arising from amendments to Colorado's real estate Laws. Some of his publications include "Broker Prevails," Colorado Journal, Volume 24, Number 34; "Battle State," Colorado Journal, Volume 24, Number 16; "Corporate Governance and Internal Controls: What Sarbanes-Oxley Means for Business;" "Limited Liability Company Update in Colorado; Protecting Companies from Fraud and Corporate Criminal Liability" and "What Everyone Should Know About Procuring Cause."
