Additional Info

The firm was founded in 1975 by Perry J. (Jim) Moore, a third generation Montana rancher from Two Dot, Montana, whose interest in law began with investigating water right issues on his family ranch. As a lawyer Jim was highly regarded for his kindness, professionalism and integrity. He received the Jameson Award from the Montana State Bar in 2006. The award, named after the late Montana federal judge William J. Jameson, is the State Bar's highest award. It goes annually to the attorney who has exemplified the highest values of the legal profession throughout his or her career. Jim is now retired and the author of three books and several magazine articles.

Our clientele include individuals, ranches, water associations, businesses, homeowner associations, municipalities, corporations, and insurance companies. With the attorneys working in a collaborative environment, the firm is large enough to meet the myriad needs of our clients, yet small enough to provide individualized service.

Our service to the community gives a glimpse into the heart of our firm. Our people have served on various boards, provided pro bono services or freely volunteered other skills.
