Additional Info

Experienced Lawyers Ready to Solve Your Legal Problems.

We are recognized as experienced lawyers serving the community, meeting the needs of our clients, both individual and business alike, by providing advice, counsel and legal services in many areas including litigation at all levels of State and Federal courts, corporate and transactional work. We also offer alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services, which are processes of resolving disputes without litigation, such as mediation and arbitration. All attorneys in the firm are qualified mediators under New Jersey Court Rule 1:40, serving as court appointed as well as privately chosen mediators to assist parties in resolving conflicts without judicial intervention.

Practicing in State and Federal Courts primarily in New Jersey, our lawyers are admitted to practice and do take specialized assignments in New York and Massachusetts as well as other jurisdictions, on a pro hac vice basis, where our clients require service.

Maurice C. Brigadier, who taught the principal bar review course in New Jersey through 1979, established the firm in 1923 in Jersey City, N.J. Still located there, the firm is in the heart of Exchange Place, overlooking the Hudson River and New York Harbor.

Our firm has continued to flourish and has developed a practice devoted to handling complex litigation and sophisticated appeals, transaction and development issues as well as mediation and arbitration matters.

We offer a wide variety of legal services, such as alternate dispute resolution (ADR), mediation, business, commercial and banking law, corporate, criminal, civil rights and discrimination, development issues, labor and employment relations, litigation and appeals, malpractice, personal injury, products liability, probate and estate practice, and real estate.

Our lawyers distinguish themselves in the profession by serving on Supreme Court Committees, State and County Bar Association positions and committees, teaching ICLE courses as well as participating extensively in community and private boards and activities.
